The EHEIM Coarse/Fine Filter Pad Set for the Professionel 4+ / 5e series is designed for mechanical and biological filtration in large external canister systems. The blue coarse foam layer traps larger debris while the white fine layer catches smaller particles and supports beneficial bacteria colonisation. Both layers are reusable simply rinse and gently squeeze to preserve the bacterial colony. Compatible with freshwater or marine setups.
