Coral Essentials Calcium + Trace is a highly concentrated liquid calcium supplement, containing 100,000 ppm (mg/L) calcium and a unique blend of essential trace elements. This formulation includes Coral Power Trace A and B elements and is designed to be used as part of the proven Coral Essentials Method dosing regimen. When using Calcium + Trace, no additional trace element supplementation is required.

Dosing Options

Two dosing approaches are available:

Option 1: Daily Maintenance Dosing
Follow this simple daily dosing guide based on system type:

Soft Coral / LPS System – 3 ml per 100 L of total tank volume per day
Mixed Reef System – 6 ml per 100 L of total tank volume per day
SPS Dominant System – 12 ml per 100 L of total tank volume per day

Option 2: Consumption-Based Dosing (Recommended for Optimal Results)
For optimal stability and growth, calcium levels should be tested regularly to determine actual system consumption. Calculate the required dosage based on the measured depletion rate using the Coral Essentials Dosing Calculator. As coral growth increases and additional corals or calcium-consuming invertebrates are introduced, calcium demand will change over time, making ongoing testing essential.

Ideal calcium levels for most marine aquariums are in the range of 430–470 ppm. For SPS and hard coral–dominant systems targeting accelerated growth, calcium levels of 470 ppm or higher are desirable.
