Dwarf Chilli Rasboras, also known as Chilli Rasboras, are tiny and beautifully coloured schooling fish prized for their vivid red-orange bodies and dark horizontal markings. Their miniature size makes them one of the best choices for nano aquariums and planted freshwater setups.
Despite their small size, they become particularly impressive when kept in a proper group. In a mature planted aquarium, a school of Chilli Rasboras will spend much of its time moving through the midwater and amongst plants, creating a natural and lively display.
They thrive in heavily planted aquariums with areas of cover, floating plants, moss and gentle water movement. They are naturally suited to soft, slightly acidic environments and generally appreciate stable, mature aquarium conditions.
Their tiny mouths mean appropriately sized food is important. High-quality micro pellets, crushed flakes and small frozen or live foods such as baby brine shrimp and daphnia are excellent choices.
Peaceful, colourful and incredibly small, Dwarf Chilli Rasboras are an excellent choice for nano aquariums and planted community tanks with similarly sized tank mates.
