About Dwarf Gold Honey Gourami
The Dwarf Gold Honey Gourami is a beautiful and peaceful freshwater fish known for its warm golden-yellow colouration and gentle personality. Males often develop deeper orange and red tones as they mature, making them particularly attractive in a planted aquarium.
Honey Gouramis are peaceful labyrinth fish that naturally inhabit slow-moving, heavily vegetated waters. They appreciate densely planted aquariums with floating plants, shaded areas and gentle water movement.
Their small size makes them an excellent choice for nano and community aquariums. They are generally peaceful towards other fish, although males can become mildly territorial around breeding areas.
Like other labyrinth fish, they need access to the water surface so they can periodically breathe atmospheric air.
