The EHEIM Coarse/Fine Filter Pad designed for the eXperience 150/250 models is a combination mechanical and biological filtration media. The blue coarse foam traps larger particles and supports beneficial bacteria growth, while the white fine pad captures smaller debris to help maintain clear aquarium water. Both materials are reusable — simply rinse and squeeze them gently to preserve the beneficial bacterial colony. Compatible with both freshwater and marine systems.
