Hanna Instruments Checker Handheld Colorimeter for Nitrite Low Range is a professional-grade digital colorimeter designed to deliver fast, accurate, and reliable nitrite measurements at low concentrations in freshwater and marine aquariums. Nitrite is a highly toxic intermediate compound produced during the nitrogen cycle and even low concentrations can cause serious harm to fish and invertebrates, making accurate nitrite testing an essential tool during new aquarium cycling and routine water quality monitoring. Unlike traditional drop-based test kits that rely on subjective colour interpretation, the Hanna Checker eliminates human error by electronically reading and displaying precise nitrite values in ppm (mg/L), providing laboratory-quality accuracy in a compact and easy-to-use handheld device. Replacement reagent kits are available separately.
