About Kubotai Rasbora
The Kubotai Rasbora is a tiny and vibrant freshwater schooling fish known for its bright fluorescent yellow-green body and slender shape. Its vivid colouration looks particularly impressive against dark substrate and lush green plants.
Kubotai Rasboras are peaceful, active schooling fish that thrive when kept in groups. A larger group allows them to display more natural behaviour and gives them confidence within the aquarium.
They are excellent inhabitants for planted and nano community aquariums. They appreciate gentle to moderate water flow, plenty of plants and open swimming areas.
Their small size means they should only be housed with similarly sized peaceful tank mates. Larger fish may view them as prey.
They are omnivorous and readily accept appropriately sized foods such as micro pellets, crushed flakes, baby brine shrimp, daphnia and other small frozen or live foods.

Common Mistakes
Keeping only one or two fish
Kubotai Rasboras are schooling fish and should be kept in a proper group.
Keeping them with large fish
Their tiny size makes them vulnerable to predation.
Feeding food that is too large
Their small mouths require appropriately sized micro foods.
Using excessive water flow
They appreciate gentle to moderate circulation rather than extremely strong flow.
Keeping them in an empty aquarium
Plants, wood and other structures provide cover and help them feel secure.
