Description
Aquaforest Mg Plus is a highly concentrated magnesium solution formulated to elevate magnesium levels in marine aquariums, essential for the healthy growth of corals and maintaining stable calcium and alkalinity levels. Magnesium plays a crucial role in preventing calcium precipitation, thereby supporting robust skeletal development in corals and other marine organisms. A deficiency in magnesium can hinder calcium absorption and destabilize pH levels, adversely affecting aquarium inhabitants.
The recommended magnesium concentration in reef aquariums ranges from 1180 to 1460 mg/L (ppm). To raise the magnesium level by 10 mg/L in 100 liters (27 US gallons) of water, add 10 mL of Mg Plus. It is advisable not to increase magnesium levels by more than 50 ppm per day to avoid stressing the aquarium's ecosystem. Regular testing of magnesium levels is recommended to ensure optimal dosing.
Aquaforest Mg Plus is available in various sizes, including 250 mL, 2000 mL, and 1000 mL, catering to different aquarium volumes and maintenance needs.
