The Sunset Guppy is a stunning ornamental livebearer admired for its vibrant blend of golden yellow, fiery orange, and rich red colouration that resembles the warm tones of a sunset. Combined with its flowing tail and graceful swimming style, this beautiful Guppy is a standout addition to planted aquariums and peaceful community tanks.
Selectively bred for its spectacular colours and finnage, the Sunset Guppy is one of the most popular fancy guppy varieties. Males display the brightest colours and largest fins, while females are larger with more subdued colouration. Their active, inquisitive nature and peaceful temperament make them ideal for both beginner and experienced aquarists.
Sunset Guppies thrive in planted aquariums with plenty of open swimming space and stable water conditions. They are highly social fish and do well alongside other Guppies, Endlers, Corydoras, Platies, Mollies, peaceful Tetras, Rasboras, and freshwater shrimp. Like all Guppies, they are prolific livebearers and breed readily in the home aquarium.
A varied diet of premium tropical flakes, micro pellets, spirulina, baby brine shrimp, daphnia, bloodworms, and other live or frozen foods will enhance their brilliant colours and promote healthy fin development.
Colourful, peaceful, and incredibly easy to care for, the Sunset Guppy is an excellent choice for any freshwater community aquarium.
