Aquaforest Phosphate Minus is a highly efficient filtration medium designed to reduce phosphate (PO₄) and silicate levels in marine and reef aquariums. Utilizing advanced adsorption technology, it effectively binds large amounts of phosphates without negatively impacting aquarium inhabitants. This product is particularly beneficial in both new and established aquariums, preventing high phosphate levels in newly set-up systems and reducing existing PO₄ levels in matured tanks. By maintaining the biological balance, it helps prevent the formation of undesirable green algae and the development of cyanobacteria.

Phosphate Minus is compatible with fluidized filters and filter socks, offering versatility in filtration setups. It is recommended to replace the media every 4 weeks or during a significant rise in phosphate levels. Upon initial placement in a filtration system, the product may slightly color the water; however, this brown coloration is temporary and harmless to aquatic life. Note that rinsing the product before use is not advised, as it may reduce its efficiency.
