About the Guppy

The Guppy is one of the world's most popular freshwater aquarium fish, celebrated for its incredible range of colours, flowing fins, and easy-care nature. Native to northern South America and the Caribbean, Guppies have been selectively bred for decades, resulting in hundreds of stunning varieties including Cobra, Mosaic, Tuxedo, Koi, Moscow, Dumbo Ear, Halfmoon, Grass, Snakeskin, and many more.

Male Guppies display vibrant colours and elaborate tails, while females are larger with more subtle colouration. Their peaceful temperament and constant activity make them a fantastic addition to community aquariums, planted tanks, and nano aquariums.

Guppies thrive in well-planted aquariums with open swimming space and stable water conditions. They are highly social and do well in groups, mixing perfectly with Corydoras, Platies, Mollies, Swordtails, peaceful Tetras, Rasboras, and other community fish.
