The Striped Kuhli Loach is a peaceful, eel-shaped freshwater fish recognised by its slender body, dark vertical bands and small barbels around the mouth. Its unusual appearance and gentle behaviour make it a popular addition to planted and community aquariums.

Kuhli Loaches are shy, bottom-dwelling fish that spend much of the day hiding among plants, driftwood, caves and leaf litter. They become more active in the evening or when the aquarium lights are dimmed.
