About Lengguru Rainbowfish

Lengguru Rainbowfish are a beautiful and relatively uncommon rainbowfish from West Papua, Indonesia, prized for their shimmering body colours and active schooling behaviour. Mature males can develop impressive blue, turquoise, yellow and reddish tones, particularly when displaying.

They are peaceful, energetic fish that look their best when maintained in a group, where males will naturally display to females. Their active swimming style makes them an excellent choice for larger planted community aquariums.

Provide plenty of open swimming space alongside areas of vegetation and hardscape. A varied diet of quality flakes, small pellets and frozen or live foods will help maintain strong growth and colour.
