Multisquamata Rainbow (Melanotaenia multisquamata) is a beautiful Australian rainbowfish known for its shimmering silver body, colourful fins and attractive schooling behaviour. As the fish matures, males can develop stronger iridescent blue, yellow and reddish tones, particularly when displaying to females or competing with other males.

This peaceful species is best kept in groups, where its natural activity and social behaviour can really shine. A planted aquarium with plenty of open swimming space is ideal.
